Hum, member data is both stored in LDAP and optional ZODBDirectories mounted as 
backing of the top-level Meta directory.

So yes you can add a new ZODB directory behind the members (Meta) directory and 
plug it as a backing directory. You will have to design different schemas for 
the LDAPBacking dir, the ZODB backing dir and an aggregated schema for the Meta 
with fields from both backings.
