[CPS-devel] skins method not found in registered skin path

in my products __init__.py I have:

registerDirectory('skins', globals())

therein a directory waeup_default with a layout_waeup_view.pt

when I access a view which uses layout_waeup_view, I get:

No layout method 'layout_waeup_view' for layout 'faculty'

when I customize the zpt to the portal_skins/custom folder, the 
layoutmethod is found.

This all happens during bringing this product to use Genericsetup.

Any hint why the registerDirectory does not work as before is welcome.
