Yes, one StorageAdapter per schema, resulting in one SQL table per schema.

The flexible configuration from the FTI could be very useful, why not
to try it ?

Sure.   It's just an issue on my tasks list by now, but I've looked at
the code of CPSSchemas and seems possible.    I will write to the list
when beginning, and could provide the code as a patch for the CPS 3
trunk, for instance.
