[CPS-devel] CPSDefault profiles??

Hi everybody,

I am trying to better understand CPSDefault, and I would like to know
what profiles are for?
In CPSDefault directory i have profiles/default directory that contains
a bunch of XML files and directories that contain also XML files.

Can anyone give some explainations (even short ones...) on the profiles?
If there is any documentation, please let me know.
