For CPS 3.4 we recommend the CPSGroupware bundle, just released! :)

Right, the 1.3.3 version of the calendar is not aware of the new
location of private workspaces, and doen't install a local workflow, so
it will not show up.

Yup.

Workspaces doesn't contain calendar events at all with this calendar.
