[CPS-users] add metadata for an object

Please make sure you did the step 3, that should work. Could you attach the XML of the modified layout? The XML is retrieved from the "Export" tab.

On the other side, I suppose you want to get the value of the field from a RDBMS. In that case:

1. Add the database adapter you need (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc) and configure it.
2. In the new field you added to the schema. Check "Read: ignore storage" and in the "Read: expression" write the expression to access to the database using the database adapter. Take a look at CPSDirectory/FieldNamespace.py for an example of how a function can be called from a Write/Read expression.

Thank you for this information,
I try it but until now i can't see the modifications
when i create a new file or a new doc (my new metadata
isn't in the list of the metadata).

-another question how i can reference this metadata to
a column in mydatabase? where i should write my code
(the connection to a database...).
