Right.
Look, I took a lot of precious time to explain this complicated
process to you and you are pissed off ?
Had someone written the very same mail as I have before I got to hook
a CPS to a DB2 DB, I would have been *extremely* grateful. And pure
ODBC questions really don't belong here, these are specialized
matters that don't have anything to do with CPS per se. Would you ask
on this list if your CPS server had DNS issues ?
Of course I'm assuming you want automatic sync with the DB, which is
what all our clients want (be it from SQL, LDAP or whatever) which,
in turn explains why *generic* scripts to import contacts in csv
format aren't really worth the effort, compared to how easy it is to
make a dedicated one.
There won't be any sequel from me to this discussion. A practical
question though: should I continue sharing knowledge if I get that
kind of reaction ?
If people want answers to technical problems, they have to behave a
bit more like grown ups than that (most do, thank god !)
