First, please all keep in mind that the roadmap is still very much open to discussion. What I checked in is only a first draft to get started. The version history is (virtually) part of all workspaces, so we can make references there. Another more difficuly problem would probably be the queries themselves, because in JCR an single query can't at the same time return some items and also dereference the references contained in them.
