[CPS4] lucene transactions

Some of you want to make lucene hold most of the "catalog" in CPS 4.
However lucene is not transactional. I can't see how that would work  
except to delay some indexing at the end of the transaction for long- 
running indexings.
We absolutely need all component to be capable of XA (distributed  
transactions = two-phase commit).
Lucene doesn't seem to fit the bill.
